A transformation for Catalyst 9Ks

Cisco announced some long awaited transformations to the Catalyst 9K family - customers can now take their first steps towards a cloud operating model with cloud monitoring for Catalyst within the Meraki dashboard.

Alongside this, the Cisco Catalyst 9166, 9164 and 9162 access points bring the 6GHz band expansion to networks of all sizes. The APs round out the Wi-Fi 6E family and offer a multitude of features that can be managed either on-premises or through the cloud with Meraki.

Natilik is excited to see the blended strengths of Catalyst and Meraki as well as the simplification of network monitoring this will enable.

Adding ThousandEyes visibility directly into Webex Control Hub

We all know that hybrid work brings a whole new level of complexity when it comes to managing and supporting users – especially when there are quality issues.

Is the problem caused by the company’s network, a user’s internet service provider or something else? For your IT team, actionable visibility is about being able to see and troubleshoot a problem no matter where the user is based.

To make this a reality Cisco has announced integration of Cisco’s ThousandEyes into Webex Control Hub. This integration will allow for easy diagnosis of quality issues with a user’s video meetings, calls and events.

Your team will be able to drill down into any Webex session and understand the network paths from wherever the user is working. Once the problematic link is identified, Control Hub provides diagnostic information to help your team understand the issue and the cause, saving you time previously spent troubleshooting and helping users get back to work faster.
